Dr. Marilyn Walker is an artist, author, musician and teacher.

She is recently retired from her position as Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick where she became an Honorary Member and Elder of the Aboriginal People of the Maritimes in recognition of her work and studies with Indigenous communities.

Marilyn now lives on Salt Spring Island with her partner Edgar and Tuva, their Blue Heeler, where she makes art and music and holds workshops in her home studio and forest garden on shamanism,  drumming, ethnobotany and ecology.
